"We recorded four songs in one day with Pual. Later he also mixed one of those for a lathe cut record we made. He is a laid back individual who makes you feel at ease with the whole process. He is very adept with analog gear and tape machines. The mix he did was stellar and finished in a timely manner. We weren't there for the mix and didn't need to be. He was able to incorporate our feedback and understood what we wanted with not much direction from us at all. He gets it."

"Pual was a fantastic recording engineer to work with. He was a real professional who worked quickly to set up the studio and tend to my band Industrial Revelation's needs the day we recorded with him in Olympia. He achieved a solid and balanced sound for the songs we focused on that day and handled the reel-to-reel process with ease and care. Pual displayed a level of expertise from his time working at the studio that was vital for us to feel efficient and comfortable recording. No one in the band (I believe) had recorded at this space previously so that feeling of comfort as we got used to the room and process of recording was so important to us. In the end I feel we got some great music recorded with Pual that helped round out the sound of our epic double-disc album and of course added it's own unique vibe to the mix. "Pual made every effort to capture the (live) sound, energy, and atmosphere that our music was generating in the studio. Not only was Pual attentive and astute in his knowledge and understanding of vintage and modern recording equipment and techniques, he is also a musician himself, and offered us his thoughts, ideas and advice to our recording decisions and discussions. He even contributed to the writing process of an acoustic song we composed in the studio (thanks again Pual!). Pual put a strong emphasis on imagination, studio resources, and purpose. He experimented with microphone arrangements, sound isolation and multi-track layering until everyone involved was pleased.
